The Legacy Project: Lindsay Holcomb
I was so excited for this latest entry in The Legacy Project. When I asked Lindsay how she’d like to be remembered, she said, “As someone that brought joy to everyday life and a lot of FUN!”
I’ve yet to meet a single person who didn’t have something great to say about Lindsay. She is a salt of the earth kind of person, and I’m so happy to know her. Although we haven’t talked as much since we’ve graduated high school, Lindsay’s the kind of person who imparts lessons that last a lifetime. Whether she knows this is beside the point; I have no doubt in my mind that countless others feel the same way I do.
Beyond the joy with which she lives her life, Lindsay exudes an undeniable grace through the dignity with which she treats everybody. Whenever you talk to Lindsay, you always have her full attention. That’s why she radiates such joy; she derives it from being with others, which makes her presence nothing short of contagious!
Even in high school, it didn’t take a genius to realize that Lindsay would be great with kids, which is why it warms my heart each time I see a Facebook update about her and her elementary school students.
I hope—as I have—that you take from Lindsay the power of treating others with dignity, and never shying away from a chance to smile. I can’t wait to see how she continues to impact those around her!
